Bio
Janet is currently a student at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying a Bachelor of Music Education (Historical Performance- Baroque Flute). She is a dedicated, patient and enthusiatic tutor who have been playing the flute, piano, recorder, baroque flute and classical flute for many years.
Janet’s achievements includes:
- High result in Music 2 and Music Extension
- AMEB Grade 8 Practical Piano and Flute exams
- AMEB Grade 6 Written Theory Exam
- Friends of the Unversity of Newcastle Music Scholarship (2016)
Janet is able to travel to Pymble, Gordon, Killara, Lindfield, Chatswood and surrounding suburbs for private music tuitions.
Teaching Info
Janet has enjoyed working with students of all ages and help them to discover music. She is a firm believer in performing music from the heart and places high importance in nurturing students as not only learners, but also as individuals who each have unique talents and musical interests.
Janet teaches from a structured and educational approach that is fun and engaging for students of all ages. She aims to create a musical experience that will bring long- lasting happiness and future passionate musicians.

- Aural and Theory skills
- Sight reading
- Repertoire (music from bands, ensembles, AMEB and HSC exams etc.)
- Technical work (e.g. scales, tone etc.)
- General Knowledge
- Daily Practice Routines
