Benjamin Samuels is a Sydney based Clarinetist/Saxophonist and Composer currently residing in Sydney. He has recently completed his Bachelor’s degree in Woodwind at Sydney Conservatorium and Honours in Jazz at Monash Uni.
Despite his age has had a wealth of experience performing at some of the biggest venues, festivals, events and clubs Worldwide. Having played clarinet from a young age he went on to study at the Sydney Con and Monash University completing both Jazz and Classical degrees with Honours. Since 2017 Benjamin has been increasingly in demand on the international scene and around Australia, touring continuously and performing with DJ’s and producers culminating with performances at festivals including Glastonbury (UK), Uprising (Slovakia), Boomtown (UK), Running of the Bulls (Spain), Envision Festival (Costa Rica), Echoes of India (Bangalore), Ozora (Hungary), Mona (Tasmania) and Dragon Dreaming Festival (Australia).
Benjamin currently plays with artists including Grouch (NZ), Cinta T, Chutney, Lamalo, The Australian Art Orchestra, Sugato Nag (India), Sandy Evans, the Splinter Orchestra, and Tony Gorman’s The Monday Club. He also leads his own in-demand group Benjamin Samuels Collective. As a teacher Benjamin is an organised, effective teacher who combines patience and enthusiasm with an easy rapport with his dedicated students. inspiring and highly motivating.
