Bio
At Edensor Park Music Lessons, we are privileged to offer comprehensive music lessons for violin, piano and cello to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. AMEB and Suzuki are provided based on the needs and goals for the students.
Our two tutors, are experienced and knowledgeable musicians who have a genuine passion for sharing their love of music and helping students reach their full musical potential.
Jhed holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Conservatorium of Music at Sydney University, and a Masters of Teaching degree from the University of New South Wales. He held a music scholarship at St Andrews Cathedral School for violin. Currently he is a high school music teacher and strives to promote music ensembles in schools.
Ellen, our cello teacher, holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from the esteemed Conservatorium of Music at Sydney University. She also held a scholarship at St Andrews Cathedral School. She is a high school music teacher with a passion for performance and confidence development.
We are located in the South West Sydney area, specifically in the suburb of Edensor Park, and we offer both in-person and Zoom lessons for our students.

Violin Lessons
Students that undertake violin lessons can aspire to:
- Complete the violin AMEB grades.
- Learn the violin to a competent level to participate in orchestras and ensemble groups.
- Prepare their violin repertoire to a polished and professional level for performances including the Music 1, Music 2 HSC.
- Prepare for auditions such as scholarship auditions.
- Learn the violin for leisure and find enjoyment in practice through goal setting and development of appreciation.
Piano Lessons
Students that undertake piano lessons can aspire to:
- Complete the piano AMEB grades.
- Read traditional music notation to be able to play any music a student desires.
- Prepare their piano repertoire to a polished and professional level for performances including the Music 1 and Music 2 HSC practical component.
Music Theory lessons
Students that undertake theory lessons can aspire to:
- learn four part harmony writing and figured bass.
- prepare for musicianship and theory exams needed for higher practical AMEB levels.
- enjoy music to a deeper level by developing their understanding of music theory, context, traditions and the intricacies of music.
Cello lessons
Cello lessons are also available in Edensor Park, conducted by Ellen.
Students that undertake cello lessons can aspire to:
- Complete the cello AMEB grades.
- Learn the cello to a competent level to participate in orchestras and ensemble groups.
- Prepare their cello repertoire to a polished and professional level for performances including the Music 1, Music 2 HSC.
- Prepare for auditions such as scholarship auditions.
- Learn the cello for leisure by playing popular music repertoire and reading music notes.
