Bio
Marcy (BMus) is a classically trained professional pianist offering piano lessons, theory lessons and accompaniment. She has taught private piano lessons since 2014 in Sydney with many students sitting exams, and offers lessons for all ages and skill levels.
Marcy began teaching piano in 2014, since then she has completed a Bachelor of Music and has been consistently working on studying music. She always keeps up to date with teaching methods including apps, online resources and method books. Marcy can teach for leisure or exams, ensuring students have a solid foundation in theory, sightreading and aural skills. While she is primarily a classical musician, she can teach a wide range of styles of music and music theory. Marcy has music directed, involving transcribing, arranging and performing in multiple Revues and University shows. She has performed solo piano music at The Sydney Royal Easter Show and other local venues around Sydney.
Marcy has accompanied since 2015, being experienced in accompanying string instruments, brass, woodwind and voice as well as performing significant ensemble work. She has accompanied for multiple AMEB exams, helped prepare for auditions and performed at events.
Please note for accompaniment services sufficient time is required to learn pieces before exams or performances. Rehearsals are also crucial to success. Short notice fees may be applicable if given less than two weeks’ notice.

Marcy’s goal is to see every student achieve their best in piano, giving thorough personalised attention to their needs to develop the required musical skills to succeed in music.
Marcy is passionate about getting students to achieve their very best in their music, allowing them to set and achieve their own goals. She teaches a broad range of music, within and out of the AMEB syllabus, including Australian composers and jazz.
She can teach for leisure in any style or prepare students for AMEB exams, including ensuring success in theory and aural components.
Marcy also offers accompaniment services from home in the Inner West, or can travel to homes or studios with a piano/keyboard present. She has experience in accompanying string, brass and woodwind players as well as voice.
