Flute Lessons
Bio
Flutist, Samantha O’Toole, is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, obtaining her Bachelor of Music degree, where she studied under the tutelage of Emma Sholl (Associate Principal Flute, SSO), Joshua Batty (Principal Flute, SSO), and James Kortum (Lecturer in Flute, Syd. Con). During her studies, she gained extensive experience in solo, orchestral, and ensemble performance performing as principal flute with the Sydney Conservatorium’s Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony. Samantha also holds an AMusA in flute performance which she received in 2017.
As a teacher, Samantha has extensive experience preparing students for AMEB graded practical exams, musicianship/theory exams, high-school entry auditions and orchestral auditions. She currently works with students at various schools around Sydney, at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, and tutors at her private studio in Leichhardt. Lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student with all ages and styles welcome. Current WWCC.
